Next Stop - Schlitterbahn!
Less than a mile from our front door is one of the world’s best water parks. Each summer, thousands of people flock to Schlitterbahn to cool off, enjoy the sun, and ride the most thrilling water rollercoasters in the world. Named one of the top water parks in the United States by the Travel Channel, Schlitterbahn truly is one of the ‘hottest, coolest times in Texas’.
The 2016 summer season has begun, so now is the time to plan you stay in the heart of the Hill Country.
Schlitterbahn is unique to most theme parks. Picnics are allowed, and visitors are encouraged to pick out a spot and set up camp for the day. Food and drink can be brought in, so load up your ice chest and come on down.
If it’s your first visit to the water park, you might opt to get a two-day pass. There are so many rides and so much to do that one day usually isn’t enough.
Schlitterbahn is one of the most family-friendly parks you can visit. The variety of rides offer something for everyone, and there are attractions geared for every level of thrill and age you can imagine.
Spend your day zipping down the Black Knight, floating the Congo River, and surfing it up at Boogie Bahn. Wind down in the evening at Heidelberg Lodges, enjoying the clear summer nights and soothing sounds of the Comal River.
Return for a second day of adventure – be thrilled by the White Water Tube Chute, Master Blaster Uphill Water Coaster, and the Double Loop Body Slides. Soak up some rays at the Lagoon Heated Pool, Beach Wave Pool, or Boogie Bay Heated Pool.
Beginning June 4, the park is open daily 10am-8pm.
